PASTOR LEONARD LAURENCIN
Pastor Leonard Laurencin would rather nothing more be said about him than that he loves Jesus Christ and has committed his life totally and completely in service to Him and his fellow men. He is the founder and pastor of Advent Fellowship Church in Brooklyn New York. He counts it all joy to be used by God in loving service to Him and his fellowmen. His life and character has been deeply shaped by his committed life of service. One thing that is worthy to say about pastor Laurencin is his love for God and commitment to work for his people. He is always willing and ready to share his knowledge with others. He preaches and teaches with the passion of someone who understood his calling and purpose in life. He loves working with people, he gives out everything he has to those in need. He builds people up and practice what he teaches. When you are in his presence you feel inspired and motivated to work for God. He carries a smile that matches with his gentle demeanor. He is always calm under pressure and willing to accept wrong even when he is right. He always talks about forgiveness and reconciliation. His dream and vision has always been to make this world a better place than the way he found it. Those who know him best will testify that he indeed has been called by God to the gospel ministry.
Pastor Laurencin has more than 35 years of experience in pastoral ministry and evangelism. He has served his church and denomination in numerous capacities such as: Youth Leader, Deacon, Elder, Personal Ministries Leader, Evangelist, Church Planter, Community Service Leader, Motivational Speaker, Vision Castor, Mission Initiator, Marriage Counselor, Psycho-therapist, Educator, Church Pastor and author. In spite of all his achievements and accomplishments, including the hundreds of souls he has led to Christ, he considers the conversion and baptism of his parents to be his proudest moment. Pastor Laurencin is a devoted researcher and student of black history. He comes from a rich heritage of Afro-Caribbean and Christo-centric tradition. His Biblical knowledge and homiletical training comes out in his oratorical presentations. His research work is inundated with exegetical and hermeneutical clarity. His personality matches with the passion of his work. His love for humanity speaks with the cadence of an inspirational leader. He is a man who was born for his time and has produced a long forgotten piece of history.
First: his objective is to represent and glorify Christ in character and deed, shepherding His flock in preparing them for His second coming.
Second: his interest is to embraced fully God’s promise to the church according to Ephesians 4:11, 12. Giving the basis to apply his gift as an evangelist and pastor for the purpose of “edifying and building up (unifying and perfecting) of the body of Christ till we all come to the unity of the faith.
Third: his conviction is the up lift Jesus Christ as our savior, mediator and soon coming King. To preach the everlasting gospel that contains His last message of mercy to the world. To teach that Salvation is Gods free gift to those who believe through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Fourth: his Philosophy is to help improve the value and quality of life in all those around him; thus making this world a better place than the way he found it to the glory of God.
Fifth: his Role is to function as a trainer and equipper of God’s people. Helping them to become disciple makers for Christ. Teaching them that “Christ’ method alone will be successful” for evangelism and church growth.
Sixth: his goal is to remain steadfast to his calling in Christ and be fully committed to the preaching of His saving gospel. Finally, he wants to totally dedicated to His work for “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom” (Luke 9:62 NASB).
